Lynnette, a Chicago native, moved to Nashville only a few years ago and recently joined the team at Dion’s. Lynnette is a graduate of the International Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. At the age of 18, she became a licensed professional cosmetologist. She has years of experience specializing in all areas of the beauty industry, including color analysis cutting and waxing.
She is very energetic, ambitious and trendy. Lynnette has always been passionate about learning new techniques and creating hip and funky styles, as well as classic and timeless cuts. She is a true creative stylist who has combined her artistic talent with her cosmetology career, making her clients look and feel great!
About Lynnette
1. What are you typically doing when you are not at Dion's?
On my days off, I am typically cleaning and catching up on things at my house. My husband and I love to hang with our friends, eat at nice restaurants, watch movies and go bowling.
2. What is your favorite product or product combination?
My favorite product combination would have to be Kerastase Volumactive Mousse and Double Force Hairspray. My hair is fine, so the mousse gives me that much needed volume. Double Force allows me to have hold without giving me “helmet-head”. It has a more flexible, movable hold.
3. What vintage hairstyle do you wish would come back?
I wish that the Marcel/Finger Waves would come back. It is such a classy, chic look that I absolutely love!
4. What CD is in your player at the moment?
My CD player has a mix of instrumental music. I love to work out to high energy tracks. I am also a huge fan of Richard Marx…he is an amazing writer and performer.
5. If you could go back to any era to do hair, which would it be?
I am all about the 21st century! I love the versatility of everyone today. There is so much variety when you walk the streets, and I love that!
6. What inspires you?
I am inspired and influenced by my surroundings. Music, for instance, helps me with my mood. If I hear great lyrics, it will make me want to write. If I see a fresh and new haircut or style, I can’t wait to replicate it on a client!
