Tami, also known as "Tami Jo", has been an asset to the hair industry for over 16 years. Although she started her career in Orange County, California, she moved to Franklin in the late 90's to join Richard and his staff at Dion's. She is licensed in 3 states, as well as certified as an instructor in California, which allowed her to teach at the Paul Mitchell School in Costa Mesa, California for over two and a half years. That experience as an instructor gave Tami the opportunity to work with some of the best educators in the Hair Industry, and allowed her to further her own success by attending advanced Academy Courses through the Paul Mitchell School.
Because the Paul Mitchell Company is involved in frequent celebrity events, Tami was given the opportunity to be the Television Stylist for a show filmed in Orlando. She was commissioned to style hair for Mary Lou Retton, Mrs. Larry King, John Schneider, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, and more.
Tami has an extensive background specializing in color. She has had formal training with Goldwell, Schwarzkopf, and Fremesi color lines. Tami is certified with Yuko, Japan's leading Hair Straightening System.
As a "Wedding Hair Specialist", she was honored when one of her bridal clients was featured in "Elegant Bride" Magazine. Tami styled the entire wedding party that was featured, and it all took place in the posh Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
Upon her permanent move to Franklin, Tami was able to apply all that she had learned on the West Coast to all of her "southern" clientele. Because Dion's caters to some local celebrities, she has had the opportunity to take care of clients such as Steven Curtis Chapman, the Newsboys' Phil Joel, and Brad Paisley to name a few.
Tami has extensive product knowledge in Dion's premier lines, Kerastase and Bumble & bumble. She was recently rewarded for being a top sales consultant for Kerastase.

1. What are you typically doing when you are not at Dion's?
I love to cook and entertain with my friends and family.
2. What is your favorite product or product combination?
My fave is to start out with Kerastase Aqua Protective as a detangler and heat/sun protectant, then mix together 3 pumps of Lait Nutri-Sculpt with 3 pumps of Serum Oleo Relax for a smooth finish.

5. If you could go back to any era to do hair, which would it be?
The 60's
6. What inspires you?
I am inspired that two of my three children have graduated from the Paul Mitchell School. They both share my passion to be the best stylist that they can be. Knowing that they look to me for strength means the world.
